Using clicker training to teaching your dog that when they look at the distraction calmly they will be rewarded. Distractions are your friend. :) The focus is to get your dog to pay attention to you when faced with a variety of distractions. In this video I focus on toy distractions, but you could use food, people, dogs, skateboarders, or anything that distracts your dog. Start with something basic and easy for your dog before you ask for him to work around difficult distractions. It is important that the dog learns to be calm around the distraction and not worried about it. I even want bandit to walk over the distraction as if it is a rock or a bush and has no meaning what so ever to him. The idea is to build calmness, focus, and proof around distractions.
